# Build servers

Compile on a dedicated machine and ship the image to the server that runs the app. Builds stop starving production of CPU, and several small servers can share one big builder.

## When the builder is down

The deploy still ships. Deplo tries the app's build server, then every host marked as a fallback, then the app's own server, skipping any it can see is unhealthy. The deploy log names who built it.
