# Network isolation per environment

Each environment gets its own private network. Apps and databases in it reach each other by name, and nothing outside reaches in: not another project, not another team, not a preview. You never create or pick a network.

## Why it matters

On most platforms every container on a server shares one network, so any app can open a connection to any other app's database. Here the boundary is derived from where the app lives, and a solo setup with no projects still behaves exactly as before.
